Spark Earrings

Hand-carved from reclaimed palm nut, the Spark Studs preserve the individual form and subtle asymmetry of each kernel. Their repetitive engraved surfaces are punctuated by lab-grown diamonds set in 18ct gold.
 
The diamond evokes the spark of life within the cyclical philosophy of the Dikenga, while four points of gold subtly reference its four cardinal moments. Rising from the dark organic surface, gold and diamond transform two-dimensional pattern into a point of light and three-dimensional form, bringing together organic matter, precious metal and mineral.
