Golden Burst Earrings

Hand-carved from reclaimed palm nut, the Golden Burst Earrings preserve the irregular contours and natural asymmetry of each kernel. Engraved surfaces meet three-dimensional forms in recycled silver, layered with gold-dust gilding and set with lab-grown diamonds.
The gold softens the precision of the geometric structure into an organic, radiating surface, as if bursting outward from the diamond. Moving between geometry and growth, nature and culture, the earrings echo the cyclical language of Surfacing. In Kongo cosmology, black evokes birth while yellow-gold represents the spirit world, with the diamond forming a point of light at the centre.
