Dikenga | Threshold Earrings

Engraved palm kernel is paired with sculptural oxidised silver elements in an asymmetric composition of circle and rhombus. The darkened metal extends the depth of the kernel, while contrasting textures reveal the meeting of natural material and constructed form.
 
Inspired by the cyclical movement of the Dikenga dia Kongo, Threshold explores the crossing from one state into another.
 
Each palm kernel differs naturally in shape and size, making every pair unique.
