Dark Birth Brooch

It was said that man was made out of dirt. Out of sand, glass is also made.
This is a unique version of the birth Brooch celebrating life and birth. The sterling silver is textured using sand casting to evocate earth. Out emerge a black point - your Kala, your birth.  
This brooch was born from experimenting with sand casting to create new texture. It is casted in sterling silver, then oxydised to darken the silver.
