The Land of The Palms
The sun blazed as waves crashed, their rhythm lulling me through soft white sands. I searched for treasures—stones, shells—when a gleam of black caught my eye. Smooth yet wrinkled, light yet firm, polished by salt and time. A discarded palm nut, a beauty. Behind me, coconut palms stretched skyward. And I remembered—this was called once the land of the palms.

Repetition, Rythm and Interconnectivity
The Dikenga dia Kongo, a Bakongo symbol of continuity and transformation, guides my practice. Its cyclical geometry speaks of connection, renewal and time as an unfolding journey. Through material, design and making, I seek to create jewellery that resonates between memory, matter and becoming.
